When done right, tea is more than just a beverage; it is a piece of history, a hobby, and a way of life. Take genmaicha tea, for instance. With every sip, the recipient can feel themselves taking part in something greater than themselves, and what’s more, they can almost immediately feel some of the effects of these four genmaicha tea benefits.

At Willow, we care about more than profit. We care about the life-enhancing power of a good meal, as well as the way it affects the health of our community, our planet, and your personal goals! Stunning 4 Genmaicha Tea Benefits

4 Genmaicha Tea Benefits

Read on to learn how to enhance your mental, emotional, and physical well-being with every warm glass of genmaicha tea.

Lower Blood Pressure

For centuries, Chinese medicine has touted the belief that green tea– including genmaicha– has the power to drastically lower blood pressure. Though this belief far predates the modern age, thankfully, studies performed within the last twenty years seem to support this theory.

In one 2004 study, researchers followed a series of people who each deliberately drank a cup of green tea over the course of the year. By the end of the experiment, these scientists reported a serious decrease in blood pressure issues. As further studies continue to take place, one thing is for sure: there is nothing to lose through a daily cup of delicious, toasty genmaicha tea.

Lower Rates of Cancer

Further studies continue to prove the value of green tea, which has been linked to lower rates of cancer in the skin, lungs, mouth, kidneys, and prostate. One study published in The Journal of American College and Nutrition even went so far as to link regular green tea consumption to lower rates of breast cancer.

In this study, researchers observed a group of women who regularly enjoyed a cup of daily green tea, then compared this group to another who drank roughly only one cup per month. As they predicted, regular tea drinkers were at much lower risk of breast cancer and experienced better overall health. The astonishingly positive results are impressive enough to have you reaching for your teapot.

Heart Health

It’s no secret that heart disease is becoming an increasingly growing problem in America, often being touted as one of the leading causes of death among women. Thankfully, there are easy steps you can take to protect yourself from this problem, including a daily cup of relaxing genmaicha tea.

A study published in the American Journal of Epidemiology details how people who drink one or more cups of green tea daily were at a forty-four percent lower risk of heart attack than non-tea drinkers. Furthermore, a follow-up study went on to state that three cups per date decreased the risk of heart attack by an additional eleven percent.

Inner Calm

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is about more than just physical health. It is about realizing all the tiny ways in which we can take an active role in building a happy, healthy life through active self-care. What better way to take this action than through the tiny ritual of a cup of genmaicha tea?

Of all the possible tea options, few show the same level of care and devotion as genmaicha. Rather than just consisting of dry leaves, each cup of genmaicha holds a carefully puffed and toasted portion of rice. This rice enhances the overall flavor, adding an element of toasty warmth to every cup. The finished consistency is almost creamy, with a memorable mouthfeel that sets it apart as special among all the other healthy, delicious green tea options.
